Related Entries
The Related Entries module simplifies the relating of entries in a powerful way. You no longer need to create “relationship” fields, and more importantly, no more scanning through a mile-long dropmenu list of weblog entries to find your “match.” Even better, you can now relate more than one weblog entry if you wish!
It gets better yet! If you are selecting more than one related entry, and require one of your entries to be a “primary” related entry, with one click you can then designate which one will be the “primary” entry. This will come in handy for use in your templates, as it will give you a little more control you might need.
Displaying related entries is easy! Based off of the Weblog:Entries loop, the Related Entries loop is placed alongside the Weblog:Entries loop, and will show the related entries assigned to the main entry being viewed. Further, you can specify a parameter to show only the “primary” entry should you need to. Additionally, a variable pair is available to place within the Weblog:Entries loop, much like Native EE functionality.
Reverse Related Entries are available too! Reverse related entries are entries that have assigned a specified entry as a related entry. For example, if Entry B and Entry C added Entry A as a related entry, Entry B and Entry C would be Entry A’s reverse related entries.
